The most visible difference between the Freedom Series and a conventional machine is its small footprint – up to 40% smaller than toggle machines of comparable capacity, which require three platens rather than the Freedom machine’s two. This means you can fit a larger tonnage press in the same plant space.

Fast-acting, dual-traversing cylinders move the platen at high speed for rapid clamp opening and closing, while four short-stroke load cells develop the clamp and breakaway forces, without the need for a cumbersome mechanical toggle.

Accurate high-speed clamp velocities, rapid tonnage buildup, flexible stroke and daylight specification all combine to make the Freedom Series masters of productivity.

Our retractable tie-bar design offers you several distinct advantages and cost efficiencies.  A wider variety of die sizes can be used in the Freedom machines and, because the tie bars retract, you get increased access to the die mounting area, for faster die changes and greater flexibility. And because the tie bars are fully retracted with each cycle, robotic programming and cycle times can be dramatically reduced.
