 Platen shoes distribute the weight of the moving platen perfectly on the hardened ways of the machine frame, ensuring parallel movement of the clamp. Because the TieBars do not carry platen weight, the whole system remains in balance no matter how big the mold. The design of the movable platen and carrier assembly ensures that the center of gravity of even the largest molds falls within the movable platen, thus avoiding any platen tipping. This proprietary design keeps the mold halves aligned to avoid mold wear and part deformation. |
